Education is Priority #1Governor Chet Culver signed a bill increasing the state's contribution to local schools by 4 percent on Feb. 13. The money, which overwhelmingly passed the Legislature, provides our K-12 schools with an additional $222 per student. The money is used for basic things like textbooks, heating bills, & technology that help make students, teachers and schools successful.
