Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, Kelli obtained her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Iowa State University in 2006. After interning at Vogue magazine and founding Trend magazine during her academic career, Kelli managed a medical spa in North Carolina. Her passion about health care spurred her interest in policy, and she is planning to attend graduate school in public policy beginning of fall 2010. Kelli is an active volunteer for the organization Emerging Opportunities for Sustainability which engineers sustainable technology for improved quality of life in developing countries. Kelli is looking forward to learning more about the Iowa legislative process and working closely with Senator Danielson.
